arjen van de merwe 0 Posted June 12, 2004 Excelent job. Great composition, colour, and feel of an uncontrolable subject. Link to comment
stormphotonet 1 Posted June 13, 2004 Thank you for your remarks. We were about a mile and a half away, looking to the west north west. This was the first tornado out of nine that this storm produced in south central Kansas on May 29, 2004 Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted June 13, 2004 Not as dramatic as the other shot, perhaps, but definitely more artistic. Link to comment
jim hayes 0 Posted June 13, 2004 Position is everything, but I would have rather taken this shot with a telescope than a telephoto. Whew! glad you're safe, that's too close. Link to comment
jerry_franklin 0 Posted June 13, 2004 Good shot. I guess it must be pretty exciting to see this in real life. I like to be outside in stormy weather, but this is a little to close for me. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted June 14, 2004 It is amazing to see such a pleasent composition [love that tree!] of a wild, violent and fast phenomenon... Cheers, Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 15, 2004 Very impressive shot. Learnt a bunch from your other shots, particularly your sky folder. Take care out there. Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted June 15, 2004 Amazing image, Kenneth. Nice composition with the silhouettes. Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted July 3, 2004 Wicked looking tornado. Makes me want to go the other way. Great shot! Link to comment
nate_blaser 0 Posted September 12, 2004 Wow, looks like it was late in the day, but you did a great job. I am jealous of those who live in the west where you can see far enough to get this kind of shot. Here in Ohio elevation changes and mostly haze gets in the way of photos like this. I have recenty purchased some new polarized filters to try and clear things up. Keep it up! Link to comment
thom6481 0 Posted January 20, 2005 Very nicely done. I especially like the contrast between the sky and the ground. Chilling. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
peter_forster 0 Posted January 27, 2005 Super capture, I prefer to look at your photo instead to stay right there. Peter. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted January 27, 2005 Just saw the movie "Twister" again, and this, too, gives me chills..the power in these funnels is phenomenal.... Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted January 27, 2005 Magnificent shot, but I'am very happy we have these destroyers seldom here. Next to the impressive twister I like the nice silhouette of the skyline, particular the well-shaped tree. Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted January 29, 2005 You picked a good spot to take this shot with the tree in the shot for balance and scale! I sent my husband the link for your sky pictures; he's a weather nut and will drool over them. Link to comment
dberryhill 3 Posted January 29, 2005 Ken, I get the same feeling looking at these marvelous shots of yours as I do looking at a Siberian tiger. Beautiful, awesome, and very frightening. Like Kim, I like the balance the tree provides here. Again, I much admire your skill and courage. Link to comment
mehmet_tuzun1 0 Posted September 20, 2005 Amazing shot. I like tornadoes:) Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
