jim_dore 0 Posted June 14, 2004 Any advice, criticism, or general comments are appreciated! This is one of the oldest streets in America and is home to the oldest restaurant in the country. The only thing that would have been better for me was to not have a overtly loud house band butchering a cover of "Your Love" by Outfield. Thankfully, photography is silent. Link to comment
jim hayes 0 Posted June 14, 2004 Nice shot, good use of lighting and exposure, one suggestion though. Try to shoot on Monday night, bet there isn't a band then. Link to comment

asimh 0 Posted June 14, 2004 excellent DOF here. i assume you used a star filter for the lights? the toning on the brick road is excellent. i think, though, i would like to see the shadows a tad more in detail and more exposed - perhaps using PS shadow recovery. other than that, great capture! kris 0 Posted July 1, 2004 Jim, I'm a bit picky when writing this comment. You shouldn't have tilted the camera upwards. There's nothing much to include from the highest of the street lights in my opinion. By tilting the camera upwards, you've also caused the vertical lines of the building to converge. The good point is, I like the idea of shooting after the rain, hence the wet cobble stones. If you can give it another shot, try to get a couple of friends wearing long coats and wide brimmed hat and ask them to be in the photo. One walking towards the camera, the other walking away from the camera :) Link to comment
