michael_madigan 0 Posted August 2, 2001 Does the framing of this picture work? In other words would the picture have been better if I had included the entire flower, rather than the center? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Also no cropping was done at all to this picture Thanks Link to comment
greglyon 0 Posted August 2, 2001 I quite like this composition, lighting, flower selection. There are many similar pics out there but this one is just right. Only thing I'd try if you have the chance to re shoot is to play with DOF. The slightly out of focus front and back petals detract. I'd like to see either completely sharp or more blur. My two cents... On second glance, it's only the front blur that bugs me. The blur in back seems quite natural. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted August 2, 2001 Technically, very nice flower. Great color and the framing of the shot works for me. Link to comment
j._scott_schrader 0 Posted August 2, 2001 I too like your composition, but would like to see more DOF. I much prefer to see these types of flower shots rather than the whole flower. Nice job! Link to comment
andy_graham 0 Posted August 2, 2001 depth of field doesnt bother me in the least..unless it is for a botanical referance book.very nice tho i probably wouldnt have centered it,but then i didnt shoot it and you did and did a damn good job of it,too Link to comment
jodie coston 0 Posted September 16, 2001 This is... so fantastic. There isn't a good adjective to describe this photo. The subject is fantastic, dof is wonderful, colors are so rich... this rivals the POW a couple of weeks ago that was a gorgeous flower macro. Actually, all of this folder is great. You've got to be in line for POW if you haven't been already... Link to comment
