alecee 0 Posted June 11, 2004 Representing Fort Canning's military past are features such as the 19th century Fort Gate and the underground operations rooms (bunkers) of the Far East Command Centre. Here, in this "Battle Box" was where Lt-Gen Percival made the decision to surrender to the Japanese in 1942. Link to comment
jjacovelli 0 Posted June 11, 2004 Fairly interesting picture. Like the lighting in the trees and on the gate itself. A couple of issues though. First, the lights in the plants on the left of the image are WAY too bright for the rest of the pic. Between the intensity and the square shape of whatever they are lining, it is very distracting. I know you couldn't control their shape/intensity but is there some way you could fram the shot without them being included? Maybe shift your vantage point to image-left and shooting back toward's image-right? Second, is the lighting on the sides of the gate different colors in real life? Don't like he greenish tint on the right side. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted June 11, 2004 As you can see I have not manipulated this image and the harsh spotlight is shining only on one side whereas the other side there are some florescent light residue, thus the green light on the right. The whole fort is one color but the lighting changed it thus adding to the mystery of this fort which has a history of haunting as well. Thanks for visiting Jason, Roberto. Link to comment
hot74 0 Posted September 2, 2004 For me the most interesting aspect of this photo is the light in the trees' upper branches. Link to comment
