dilip_kumar_singha 0 Posted June 10, 2004 Beautiful shot, thank you for sharing. Some techical details are desirable. Link to comment
asimh 0 Posted June 10, 2004 i like the subject, but don't care for the "inverted" negative effect. Perhaps making it b/w or duotone or even a PS infrared effect might work better for you? Link to comment
swati 0 Posted June 10, 2004 Thanks Dilip .. this was shot by a Sony DSC. I just inverted the image into a negative one, cropped it, and that's it. Asim - sorry you didnt like it. Honestly, I didnt care for it much either. But the original was worse....and I dont know ANY editing yet - so there! Maybe over time, I will improve.... Thank you both for your comments....do let us keep in touch. Link to comment
asimh 0 Posted June 10, 2004 swati, how about something like this. i used fredmiranda.com 's b/w plugin and added a frame. Link to comment
swati 0 Posted June 10, 2004 You have made it look very beautiful...thank you :-) Told you .. I dont know any editing yet...so for the time being, I will keep posting, and you can keep editing :-) Kidding... Will learn editing soon, I hope... Thank you, once again! Link to comment
asimh 0 Posted June 10, 2004 i'm fairly new to this stuff also. i highly recommend the black white plugin from this site here- some very useful stuff. good luck! Link to comment
pradeep1 0 Posted June 12, 2004 i prefer the black and white version suggested by Asim, its nice to see people on this site being so helpful and nice, cheers to both swati and asim here, swati, this is good i already see an improvement. cheers! Link to comment
suman 0 Posted June 13, 2004 I rather love to see a little less retouching. The figure lost all the details as Asim worked on the BW work. Specially the face. May be it's little too dark. Asim what do you think? BTW, swati, nice one here. Perfect composition after dropping. Link to comment
asimh 0 Posted June 13, 2004 suman, you are right that more details were lost. it was a 2 minute job ;) by a PS beginner. i guess you could dodge some areas on the body to recover the details. i liked the dark sky so i was going more for silhouette than full details. Link to comment
rajeevthomas 1 Posted June 14, 2004 Swati, there is art in it, I would crop a bit.I have played with PS and found your original is also very good with few tricks played in PS.I have four suggestions.Hope I am not filling up your comment section with all of it. Link to comment
rajeevthomas 1 Posted June 14, 2004 This one is a black and white version done in PS, but added some tones to it later on.In photoshop I had much more control over light.Hope you like it. Link to comment
rajeevthomas 1 Posted June 14, 2004 This is pure black and white.May be you wonder why in the world he thinks byt adding four versions?? I just wanted to show you, that what you saw..is full of possibilities. Link to comment
rajeevthomas 1 Posted June 14, 2004 Hope you like this one Swati. This practically your original but saturated a bit, worked on sharpness and cropped like the others. Link to comment
swati 0 Posted June 15, 2004 I like #4, would have wanted a more sullen sky though....something more sinister, not pink :-) But thank you for all the effort you have taken! Somehow the original did not get attached last time...let me try and attach it now.. Link to comment
