This one gets a Seven for originality! I really like this idea - very creative indeed.

To me this is a nice shot that would keep it's originality value outside of the assignment!

One little gripe - the background seems a bit blown out. Though frankly in this shot that does not bother me too much.

Congrats, PT!

Top marks PT! In fact I can't find a thing wrong with it. The slight grain on the film and the vingetting is a nice touch. Most often film is smooth and sleek making it easy to roll. But not so here. This poor subject has developed some grit which adds to the tension of the never ending week grinding over itself.

A very creative solution to what I think is a difficult assignment . Oh ,and the answer to your question for me is a definite yes!

This is a nice puzzle, as well as being a comment on our lives. It's a Mobius Strip, so the days will run forever. But also, the days never get seen backward, so it's not really film, but an opaque medium, printed on both sides. But it's a Mobius Strip, so there's only one side.

Very clever, very well done. I especially like the physical texture of the "film" representing grain. That's just exquisite.

Nothing to suggest. It's a very strong conceptual image. Time in unique space. Both divided (and not divided; need a break?) in Euclid's elements with a period of 7. And elements making a whole that's essentially different from its parts. If a background at all, it needs a frame. But a frame contradicts to the philosophy of the image. (Or, maybe, a frame made of another Meubius's strip? :-)) If the background is pure white (with heavier shadows), it'd go well with the white PN screen but not with other sites' screens. An image that just couldn't be framed in our usual Euclid's world ! What's time? What's space? We'll never know. The best we could do is just to offer a sparkle of human spirit as an answer. Like this one. Regards. Blago

A lot has been said already. I'm very impressed by the concept as well as by the execution of the image. If possible, I'd love to read about your creative process. I'm always amazed by how each assignment triggers the imagination in each one of us, producing from straight-forward images to deep conceptual images that on its turn hit us hard and make our creative machinery start working again.

This image has a special impact on me because I do feel into this endless loop right now.

Thanks PT!

I love it! It's clean. It's sharp. It's to the point. Excellent fit to the theme. And I can oh so relate! I haven't a clue how you go the words to fit so nicely on the film, I couldn't have done that no matter what software I was given. Excellent job.

Well thanks folks. I hope you won't be too disappointed to hear that the creative process was terribly simple: this is an object I found while shooting on a derelict site some time ago. I found it intriguing because of the twist, the link to photography and the message it seems to be conveying. So I kept it and have had it on my desk since then and often wondered what it was once part of. Without the assignment I probably would not have thought of making the photo for it seems more verbal than visual. Glad I did though!
