drbtorcan 0 Posted June 9, 2004 This is the view I often look at when I ponder things at the cottage...And when I am at home, I look at this image...it is not the same as being there, but it is still good. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 9, 2004 This is beautiful, but it doesn't look sharp to me. You might try reposting it with the longest side being 800pixels, and the resolution at 72dpi. I say this because I see a lot of photo.net's characteristic compression artifacting around the edges of leaves. I think the higher your output resolution when you post it, the worse the artifacting is, and since basic screen resolution is 72, I get better results going no higher than 100. You might also experiment a little with unsharp mask to see if it brings out more sharpness in it. I offer these comments after having a hard time getting my shots to look as sharp when posted here as they do on my computer or my own prints, and these things seemed to help mine, but I'm still not altogether happy with the results I'm getting. Hope you find this useful. Please feel free to visit my folders and any constructive comments are appreciated (if I am still here on photo.net when you read this). -s Link to comment
