scott_cave 0 Posted July 31, 2001 Just the fact that you managed to actually get a macro shot of a living fly is amazing! Personally I really like the subject (love the detail of the hairs and colors etc.). It would have been nice to get a little deeper depth of field around the front of the head though. But overall, great photo! Link to comment
photogvt 0 Posted July 31, 2001 I am impressed when you take an ordinary subject and make a great image out of it. I like it! P Link to comment
catherine_horey 0 Posted August 6, 2001 This fly was extraordinarily patient with me while I composed and took this shot hand held. On a cloudy day the shot had virtually no depth of field so I had to decide what to focus on, which was the eyes. How do you like this picture aesthetically and technically? Try to set aside your feelings about flies themselves in your critique. Link to comment

monster maker 0 Posted September 9, 2001 I love this shot. I have been wanting to do macro insect photography for a long time, but was unable to afford a good macro lense. I noticed you used a technique for your macro that I havent seen before...can you please explain this to me. Email me if you like, I would greatly appreciate it. Link to comment
