Footsteps

Nice shadows, and I like the colour tinge. What's darkening it across the top -- is that a shadow or a grad?

Thanks Joel. It's a shadow (I don't own any grads); it was taken on some sand dunes at the beach late in the day, and other taller dunes shade parts of the dune. Most of these shots were pretty "cool" colour temp. wise.

I really like the shadow up top. It gives the allusion of walking into nothingness... Very asthetically pleasing.

Doug has wrapped up what I was going to say. That darkness really adds some sense of distance. A really effective image. The only thing I think may improve it is if there were more focus on the foreground print, just to add even more depth ;)

Quite tricky when handholding in the wind... =) Still, I didn't own a tripod at the time, so I couldn't use one - that has since been rectified! But a very valid point! Thanks.
