california-seascapes-photo 0 Posted June 5, 2004 I am not sure how you got the lighting effects with this, but I really like this with their playful expressions, Quality work. Link to comment

awaraagard 0 Posted June 7, 2004 well...this effect was purely accidental. i shot this image many months ago...but there wasn't any definite idea in my mind like what 2 do with this. origionally, it looked very placid. so i tried differnt things in photoshop...like desaturation of duplicate layer & multplying it with the origional & inverting 1 of the 2 & it gave me that hallow around the moon which i never thought of in a planned way..the moon was just a silver pale moon origionally. inversion also created that infrared effect which i changed into red & then green but liked the present tone in the end. with these changes the idea of " little monstors " suddenly got a shape in my mind...then i tried many many things but none worked...& by the midnight i was almost stuck & finished with the image when i selected the dodge tool & brightend the eyes...it simply added this glow on the duplicate layer...bingoooo! it was done & i named it " midnight monstors ". long ago i was teaching post graduate classes & an essay " where do these bright ideas come from " particularly attracted my attention. now as an artist, i know that these sudden bright ideas r a very significant part of artistic process..but not the whole part of course...certainly they r significant. regards!
