Very interesting light and composition. Which focal lens is it? Not knowing the depth of the patterns I cannot figure it out, even though it seem some wide-angle.

Thanks for commenting guys.

Salvatore: It was either taken with my 24mm lens or with the wide end of my 28-50mm. In other words quite wide-angle. The features in the sand were about 2inches wide and half an inch deep. It was taken at sunrise so the shadows are relatively long and combining that with the highlighted ridges made the pattern really jump out.

This works well as a abstract, shadows are really are doing a goo job. Do you happen to have differnt versions, say lines running into the background? Good Works Daryl!

Thanks Don. Unfortunately this was taken when I was still using film and because it cost so much to develop I never used to take much more than one shot of any one thing! That's the biggest plus for digital for me. These days I'd probably have shot a whole load.
