tmjacobs 0 Posted July 30, 2001 The owl is a bit too dark and lacks a bit of sharpness. Also the background is too 'messy' and distracting. It's a pity the owl doesn't have his eyes wide open, that's always the charm of owl-pictures. Except for the eyes you could remedy a lot with software, if you're into that. I did a quick and rough retouching and this is what could be possible with it. (see attachment) Link to comment

I chased one of your models cousins all over a field outside of bragg creek with my piddly 200mm tele but no matter how I tried I couldn't get close enough. Not a bad photo but I think less DOF would have eliminated some of the background clutter.... Keep on shooting! PS check out my portfolio for an really different owl photo. Link to comment
