This is great photo. I would prefer slightly higher contrast.

i like it, it looks nice, i dont see any problems wth the composition, but somehow the horizon and the sky seems over exposed, or is it meant to be like that? cheers!

Predrag, about cropping/framing see attached versions.

Anyway there should be serios reason to place horizon at the center of image. And I can't see it.

The same concerns to overburned sky. Human eye see the sky differently than film. If you use b/w film try to use yellow or orange filter or use chanell mixer for desaturating color original.

Too bad the sky wasn't more dramatic, but this is a very balanced composition and I like it as you have cropped it.

Thank you all, especially Pradeep and Andris, for constructive comments. This photo was shot around noon. The light was very strong and the whole scene was bright. There were very few people on the beach. Those two were standing still long enough for me to take several shots. There was no detail in the sky. The image shown is very close to what I actually saw and it was the intention of mine.

I agree with most of what has been said but I think that I would lower the horizion to about the lower third and moved over to the left so the boat is not a pure bow on shot. You could still show that it is a twin hulled boat but also shown more of the side this would have given it more depth. It is good to see that you are putting people in your shots again.

I like this composition - the land on each side balances the shot, there is the human interest directing your gaze to the boat, and I feel that more detail in the sky might detract from this.

Svida mi se slija bas ovakva jer si zatvorio kompoziciju s tim kamenjem sastrane da ti ne curi more van. :)

Bilo bi mi mozda ok da je brod tamnije neke boje pa bi dobio jos veci kontrast s morem.

A frajeri su mi super sjeli!

Superb composition. I think light must be less hard, to shot in other moment of day... but I perfectly know that in this kind of images you�ve to do what you can because it�s that or nothing and I congratulate you for this decision (I always prefer having a shot)

I like this very much. I disagree about the cropping - I think the rocks on each side add depth and perspective. I do agree though that more contrast (esp. more detail in the sky) would've made the image more "ideal" technically and visually - but I still like it. It's very well framed (in the viewfinder, I mean :)
