Leaf eddy Braemar Falls

ian cameron

This little waterfall is overhung by birch trees. In Autumn the leaves fall off and scatter like gold coins over the black rocks. While photographing these I noticed that a number of leaves had become trapped in a back eddy and were rotating slowly around.

The gold swirl of birch leaves at the foot of the falls adds a bright

splodge of colour to an other ways monochrome scene.

Very nice image! Your depth of field from the foreground to the background is very sharp. Can I ask what your shutter speed was, 6 sec. to 12 sec. A buddy of mine and I debating it.

I seem to remember I bracketed three shots between 4 seconds 6 seconds and 8 seconds. I would estimate that this was the middle exposure at F22. Glad you like it.
