A crop to get rid of the boring looking buxbom by the small stairs maybe? Why not by the left border of the pool?

Maria thanks a lot for your comment I really appreciate,I got hooked on IR because of it's surreal rendition of nature. So being surreal why do the sky has to be blue? or golden? or red? I tried to give it a different approach by altering the tones, the colors,the moods,Now being the best or worse is something I cannot judge I have seen wonderful shots and fine work shot by people who are involved in IR,maybe not on photo.net but on other sites too

The only thing that these photos have different is that I try to give them another feel or look from the standard procedure am not very fond of real colour IR so i improvised a different aproach on inserting colors the way I see it and this is something I didn't encounter on any site that deals with IR photography this is why they might look different. Experimenting in different approaches there's no right way or wrong way of doing things as long as they attract the viewers attention and are appealing to me too, cause I shoot for my own enjoyment first and I manipulate them the way that appeals to me and if it hapens to be apppealing to others too so that's a lot better. At the end of the day it's not all about getting ratings, and tailoring your photos to get the most of them. Of course this is my opinion, and by no way means that this is the right one concerning others opinion.

Cool Tony, with IR one can even access old favourites and redo them again. It's really nice to see great works that you have. What IR do you use and what strength?

Alec thanks for your comment and I agree with you you can redo old ones giving a totally different mood. Since I started shooting IR I couldn't get my hands on a Hoya R72 so I used a ND filter8 + a linear polarizer and a dark red filter it cutted enough light to be able to give me that IR look, Lately I got myself a B+W FILTER THE 093 Which is a true B&W IR filter expensive, but good glass too. Hello! First of all I like your photo, particularly the leaf tones. and the sky is very moody. I just thing that the pot at the lower centre of the image is a big flaw in composition. try imagining the same picture without that plant pot. Agree?

I think it's not that easy. Maybe it disturbs you that we can't see it's "foot" but it definitely adds to the ornamental part, also with it's centered position.

Joao Hi thanks for your comment,now concerning the pot....Well first if I wanted to show the whole scene the way my eyes did and this is why I included everything that was visible to my eye the pot should have been there too, and I agree that if it wasn't there it would have added more depth to the picture.....and as Andrea mentioned it, my guess was that it adds to the ornamental scene since I had it. all i did was trying to center it to my knowledge that was the best angle I could shoot to record the scene the way I saw it. Sometimes it would be nice if we could move things around but that's not practically feasible.

I can see why... you've got some wonderful shots in this folder. I like the lens selection and use on this particular one.

 

The larger version looks very nice.
