jeffrey_abelson 0 Posted June 21, 2004 "We are seeing the hardened.... We are seeing the emptiness of a young heart that loves life... seeing someone who is sick and tired of pain and suffering and wishes that she too would die. We are seeing the pride of modern society come to its end vs. the humility of a people that time forgot. We are staring at pain and sorrow in the face vs. staring at the face of pain and sorrow. We are seeing a moment of reflection, regret, hopelessness...and lonely grief and who cares not about questions anymore after having not found the answer her whole life. We are seeing a last goodbye in both of them. " Dude, I think we're seeing an Ectasy soaked bimbo searching for a Kool in her purse... Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 21, 2004 Jeffrey Abelson, you see, this is precisely what I said earlier when is said ?if we are capable of seeing past the make up? which you obviously could not. Are you saying that someone who dresses like her can never feel real emotions and that regardless of what she does in her life she will never encounter a moment like this? This is merely a depiction of a real life scene which I?m pretty sure happens in the life of Gothics, Punks, and those who tattoo their bodies as well as those who practice body piercing. Why must we reduce all such women to ?an Ecstasy soaked bimbo?? Granted, and I already said this before, there is no clue that she is mourning simply by looking at the photo without the caption. But for the life of me, I fail to see the drug induced hard-up junkie you describe. If anything, I see a beautiful young woman reaching in her purse for a cigarette and nothing more. I certainly don?t see what you see. Furthermore, take a look at the photographer?s portfolio and you will see another picture of the same model entitled ?memories 2? and you will see this same model wearing different clothing. Do you still see this same drug crazed bimbo you saw before? Why did I even bother posting this last comment? I already know what the answer is going to be! Link to comment
