erikadams 0 Posted June 1, 2004 Too bad the silhouette of your arm ended up over her iris. If you were to keep your arm in, your reflection could probably hide in her pupil, especially if you used a longer focal length lens. I like the photo otherwise. Link to comment
mattb1 0 Posted June 1, 2004 I have always wanted to do a shot like this, still looking for a model... I like it. Anyway, the reflection in her eye is distracting. It looks like the photographer, and it looks like a very big catch light. Did you shoot this near a large window? And, you may want to play around with the plane of focus and DOF. The patch of skin under the eye is also distracting because its pretty close to being in focus while the eyelashes are definitely out of focus. Did you hand shoot this? Maybe get a little off center instead of directly in front of the model, so that he plane of focus parallels her eye a little more. I like the vertical format, but maybe frame it with the eye a little higher and maybe in the right hand corner. Maybe my comments are because I visualize the shot I want to do as having the eyelash with in the DOF. Link to comment
