bens 0 Posted June 1, 2004 I think its a FANTASTIC rendering, but of a somewhat sad expression. so it leaves me with a mixed feeling. was that intended? Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted June 5, 2004 I can't think of anything to improve this one - it's perfect, as is. Sweet expression, if a little sad, and great tones and lighting. Nice work! Link to comment

alan_edmon 0 Posted November 12, 2004 I guess I am the odd one out...I don't see her as "sad", I see her as intently looking at something and wanting to understand it better (like maybe wanting to be able to read). This photograph is as good as they get. Thank you for blessing my morning. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted May 29, 2007 Nevertheless, I'm glad to see you getting the recognition you deserve for this. More important than recognition, though, is that I'm glad it stood out to me in your portfolio and that I found it because, plainly and simply, it makes me feel good. Whether she is sad or pensive or enthralled with what she's looking at or melancholy or even bored, you have caught her being real, a genuine person, with an emotion that is universal in tugging at all of our heartstrings and thoughts. I won't dwell on how good the lighting is and how well you've handled this to enhance all the feelings, because I think it should just be savored for what it is . . . a joy to look at and one that most would want to spend time with and keep coming back to. Congrats. --Fred. Link to comment
