Laburnum walkway

ian cameron

A bit unusual for me as I prefer wilderness landscapes. I found this laburnum covered walkway at Cawdor Castle, Moray, Scotland. I was the only one there and I had to invert a 0.6ND grad filter to hold detail in the foreground path and the underside of the canopy. I suspect this will lose a lot of detail in compression but here goes.

Not my usual subject but a very picturesque diversion from my

wilderness shots. a very enticing path to walk .

Wow! My wife is always asking me why I shoot so many "path" and "steps" pictures. HERE'S why--I'm aiming for something like this. I've never done one 1/10th this good.

Ian, this is spectacular. Where is this? I'm visiting a private garden in May with a structure using the same species of tree. Best regards, Paul
