Owens Valley, California

I like the kolours and 3d look of your shot. The sky looks simple fantastic in my eyes. But the mountains itself are interesting and I'd like to see more of tham on the photo.

Nice photo with good lighting. I would try to use a longer lens and back up a bit, so the trees would remain as they are, but the mountains would be a bit larger. I think they are more interesting than the skies.

I am jealous. wish I were there with an 8 x 10 and a box or two of film. nice photo, even though I don't care much for color.

You've really captured the quality of light in the California hills. I've sought to balance the glow on the trees with the moody clouds in the background, but you nailed it. One thought: you might want to re-crop the left side as the random green leaves are distracting since you cannot see another tree.

The photo could have been taken in Bakersfield. The Owens Valley has some tremendous scenics, if you could find similarly colored foliage in a more dramatic landscape, you'd have a real winner, I think.
