andre_vuski 0 Posted July 29, 2001 just wondering how people respond to the tone. is the animal too ominous looking for the peaceful child sleeping in the background?? any tech. critique is helpful too. thanks Link to comment
rjacksonphoto 0 Posted December 1, 2001 The selective focus on the stuffed animal works! An entirely different photograph than if you had included boy AND animal or just boy in plane of focus. Nice vision. Thanks. Link to comment
cedarbough 0 Posted January 13, 2002 Great idea. Love the title. Don't know if the shot or the title and idea came first, but love it! Link to comment
yair galtzur 0 Posted February 11, 2002 I like this one the most from the ones you showed us in this folder.I really get the sense that the animal is alive and he is protecting the sleeping child (probably his friend, ahhh). One thing thoughWhy is there a gray haze at the sides of all your photos ? Link to comment
mark_swanson4 0 Posted February 12, 2002 Wonderful image! You actually made the stuffed animal look fierce by making it so sharp and so close to the lens. By contrast, the child who is being protected looks innocent and vulnerable. One criticism: the darkening of the edges of your prints is a bit distracting to me. Also, congratulations on your POW, though I like this one better. Link to comment
lior shapira 0 Posted February 18, 2002 It's a very touching picture, the tiger looks very fierce in his protection of the boy. Beautiful picture Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 22, 2002 Came here out of curiosity - because the author criticised the current POW. I too considered it exemplary weak, but unfortunately we remain a very tiny minority. And I was not disappointed: a very rare find on photo.net, a photo that is not only well composed and executed, but also plays with meanings. Average photographers seek only to express something "beautiful", however meaningless that might be. Link to comment
