fabiangraham 0 Posted May 30, 2004 Do you know what kind of fish this is. It seems silly calling it a tooth fish. I saw it diving off the coast of sumatra. It was about 50cm long and very fat and ugly with lots of teeth. The diving instructor said it was harmless, but didn't know the English name. Link to comment

stemked 4 Posted May 30, 2004 This is fairly obviously an image of a crocodile (or aligator, I cannot tell) that has been put through some type of image manipulation. It might have been more convincing if you had drawn in some gills. Link to comment
fabiangraham 0 Posted May 30, 2004 Think the gills are just out of focus in the black area behind , down and right of the eye, but I am not sure. As far as I know, there are no large reptiles in the oceans around Sumatra. I had a look at your portfolio, but there weren't any pictures there, just a list of snide remarks about other peoples photo's. Thanks anyway. Link to comment
dr_c 0 Posted May 30, 2004 I saw the same kind of fish off Borneo (Saba) last year, but the ones I saw were a little smaller. The local name is 'Cawup". Don't know the scientific name, but they are really amazing. You got a great photo here! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 30, 2004 This looks like the mouth of a kind of porcupine fish found in Indonesia. It might be called a Cyclichthys, but I am not sure. Great photo though! Link to comment
the photographer1 0 Posted May 31, 2004 You have absolutely frashed this cayman in Photoshop -I cant help laughing. You need to be more conservative using Photoshop and spend more time with it. Link to comment
