Image is saved at Low (20) Jpeg compression to make it adhere to guidelines. There is no sharpening applied. The sand/sandstone has a large amout of quartz in it.

Is a very powerful image!

 

I keep wondering what it would have looked if the shadows "escaping" through the bottom of the picture were also included in the composition, at the (little) price of some of the top and left-hand empty sand.
