kslonaker 0 Posted May 29, 2004 Tony, Photoshop is such a strong program and it's worth exploring further. Once you learn it, you can get the effects you want fairly quickly and to your exact specifications. I've only been using PS extensively the last year and a half and love it. I think the best way to learn is to get a couple of books that have good tutorials, then play, play, play. For me, half the fun is shooting and the other half is playing with PS. I took this into PS and just slightly adjusted the saturation to tone down the pink and yellow, bearing in mind I am working off a low resolution image and the sharpness isn't there. See what you think. You may prefer the stronger tones in your original colors - sometimes it all boils down to personal choice. Link to comment
tony georgiadis 0 Posted May 29, 2004 Kim thanks a lot I appreciate, for the time you spent to show me your point of view that's very kind of you,When I mentioned that am not an expert in photoshop doesn't mean that I don't have a clue, I just meant the advanced part of photoshop I have a lot of fun too on manipulating my pictures but I need time,I have many books on photoshop but I also have to work to make a living so I do not have much spare time to get to grips with it the advanced part of photoshop,I also work with a computer at work for 8 or sometimes 9 hours a day, so am left with a couple of hours to devote to photography. I won't say which is better your rendition or mine it's not the issue here I will just say that I saw it that way the time I manipulated it,and as I stated in another comment in one of my pictures it depends om my mood or vision or the way I feel......I even could end up with a purple sky or green who knows...fortunately people see colors in different ways this is the beauty of it ,and that is why if you look at photo.net everybody has his,or hers interpretation of seeing colour, contrasts, saturations and so on,and like you very well said it,It all boils down to personal choices. alecee 0 Posted May 30, 2004 Tony, I agree with Kim. Taking photos is just half of the equation. Knowing how to make it better with PS and yet make it look natural is what counts through more and more practice. The reward is you achieve something special and personal. i.e. your own personal stamp which says it all. And I truly admire yours. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted May 30, 2004 Tony, you do have a unique style and that's what makes me want to keep viewing your images. I definitely wasn't being critical of your work at all; sometimes showing an example instead of saying it is easier. Also, it gives others a chance to look at more than one version and a lot of times, they end up preferring the original posting anyway. I look forward to seeing more of your work and your individual "eye". Link to comment

osvaldo carbuccia 0 Posted June 3, 2004 Hi Tony, I'm a real fan of the surreal appearance of infrared photography and I'm deeply impressed with your work. I would like you explain me the procedure you use since you have the red infrared image obtained shooting with a D SLR through a R72 infrared filter. Especially I love your two-tone images (How do you get that???), like "Infrared Part III", モCastle in Arcen IR モ, モDestination Fantasy World IR Care for a ride?ヤ, モIRヤ and others. Link to comment
joe4peace 0 Posted August 17, 2004 I am suprised to hear you do not make your living as a photographer. I have viewed photography for 31 years and made my living from it for 23 years. If there is such a thing as master of photography you are certainly it. Link to comment
tony georgiadis 0 Posted September 6, 2004 Joe I would like to thank you for your comment am very flattered. I was a professional wedding photographer for 20 years in Athens Greece,But I feel now that I never enjoyed photography as much as I do now shooting what I LIKE and not what am paid for to shoot. Regards PS I apologize again for being late to answer your comment, due to the fact I was on vacations and am back now,and by chance I opened this picture and saw that very flattering comment of yours. Thanks Link to comment
joe4peace 0 Posted September 24, 2004 I have also been a wedding photographer for almost exactly 20 years. During the next few weeks I will try to start posting some of my wedding photography. All of the negatives are medium format and I don't have a scanner for that size so I will be copying the photos with my digital camera. Link to comment
tony georgiadis 0 Posted September 29, 2004 JOE I would be very happy to see your wedding pictures.Unfortunately, all my wedding photos the negatives of course are gone since I moved to Holland.I had a very bad experience with a costly and unpleasant partnership. No weddings for me anymore had my share. Link to comment

leo burkey 0 Posted March 31, 2008 I like what you've done here; very artistic and definitely eye appealing. You can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time. Well done! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 31, 2008 I dig IR photos and this one is great, but what`s with the coloration at the top of the image? Would have prefered just the B&W overall. Caspar Knox Link to comment
