Sisters

(to me)it seems more like they are consoling each other..they sure look alike 2 sisters and then outside the window are two mailboxes..i dont know what that has to do with anything,but it struck me as interesting..good shot

Very pleasant photo. It looks like the two 'sisters' are indeed consoling each other - and it also conveys a sense of peace to me. You captured a precious moment in time. Nice range of tones too.

My first impression was that someone has died, not that the sisters missed each other and are having a reunion. Nice shot anyway.

This is an image that is likely to evoke a strong emotional response from the viewer. What is especially like about it is that it appears you followed your instincts rather than any so-called rules.

Personally, I feel that they are supporting each other through some time of stress. It is an exceptional image.

 

Edit of above-- I just read the other comments (I don't like reading them before I comment), and I think its interesting that we all get the same feeling from it.

Thanks for the observations. Its nice to know that a picture that evokes strong emotions for me does the same for others. I think those of you who suggest the sisters are consoling each other are correct, although I'm not sure why it was happening. Perhaps it was simply a peaceful interlude from the stress of a large family gathering.
