paulfisher 0 Posted July 29, 2001 Great photo - wish I did it. I think it can be improved by cropping more tightly onto the head and body of the model. This will remove the distracting window and focus more on the intensity of his expression. You could even go for a perfectly square frame, which does not have a good fit with the subject matter and therefore creates a feeling of tension (contrary to the usual idea of a square frame being "solid" or "stable"). tobias_begalke 0 Posted August 8, 2001 Great picture! I feel the tighter cropping destroys a lot if not all of the atmosphere of the original picture. The sofa and window are essential to the vibe of the image imo. Link to comment
pmags 0 Posted November 22, 2001 Please ignore the suggestion to recrop this photo (and some of the others in your portfolio). As another poster noted, the surroundings help to create the atmosphere. The suggested recropped version lacks any sense of space. Link to comment
