I like this image. At first I was thinking it seemed a bit too dark, but the more I look at it, the more that works in favor of the picture. This image imparts a wonderful sense of calming isolation.

Imparts on me the same emotion you feel when couped up in a ski hut while it's raining (i.e. not snowing). You know, that frustration when you want to get out into the alpine environment, but the weather is having the last laugh.

Neither the window frame nor the landscape are sharp. However, I am not sure whether being sharp would improve a very nice photo.

Looks like it was taken with a crappy lens. I'd consider buying a 17-40L if I were you.

 

Maybe you should have shot this when the sun was out. Also, if you had opened the windows, the landscape would have been clearer.

 

In addition, a jar of vegemite in the foreground would help to show scale.
