david_troyer 0 Posted May 21, 2004 and the conditions are perfect, I like to shoot up at the waves from underneath. I hope you all enjoy this image and would appreciate some feedback. Thanks, David Link to comment
Jen Selwa 0 Posted May 21, 2004 Incredible, incredible shot. This should be a POW. NICE WORK!!! Love how the fisheye lens positioned the water in relation to the surfer. Great color. Incredible! Link to comment
mehmet_can 0 Posted May 21, 2004 I cant think of anything to make this picture better as you got a perfect shot, well done Link to comment
vincetylor 0 Posted May 21, 2004 Love the technical details. I also like the fact that you used a slower saturated film for this type of shooting rather than the 400 that is most common. When it does work, it works wonderfully. Another winner!! To publish this, it might not hurt to lessen the blues just a tad. But as a print or for here, it's great as is! Link to comment

nightmap 0 Posted May 22, 2004 Brilliant and creative! This was shot from underwater? I agree that a little less blue will make a greater impact. Fantastic, here I go to buy some diving gear :) Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted May 22, 2004 Brilliant idea, stunning image. An eyecatcher even for the sated PN looker. For my taste, the deep blue works very well. Great capture Link to comment
morris_eaddy 0 Posted May 22, 2004 I just saw this surf spot in the movie Step Into Liquied... nice job Link to comment
david_troyer 0 Posted May 23, 2004 To get this shot you have to have the right conditions. First of all you have to have water that is bathtub clear, Second of all there has to be no wind to make texture on the surface, Third you have to have a working knowledge of waves and the way they are ridden. Lastly, you must have a lack of fear for the reef sharks who live in such waters. If you have all of these things down you are well on your way... I hope everyone enjoys this image and I greatly appreciate all the comments you have written. Link to comment
John Crowe 165 Posted May 24, 2004 Awesome image! Did you use an underwater housing or just lots of effects? Link to comment
david_troyer 0 Posted May 24, 2004 I used a custom made housing that I built in my garage...I did not use any affects on this image. Link to comment
