scott_lowrey 0 Posted June 23, 2004 Great shot, reminds me of an old film called Crystal Voyager, the ending was all done with cameras on the nose of the surfboard and played to the theme of Echoes by Pink Floyd. I like how everything in this is seen from within the water! Link to comment
california-seascapes-photo 0 Posted September 24, 2004 I've done quite a bit of surfing and can definitely appreciate the difficulty here to be in just the right place at that right time and to have the clarity in the water to boot while yet still having to worry about getting slashed by the boards fins etc, etc,. Excellent work here!! Link to comment

markonestudios 4 Posted September 5, 2005 Hmmm... I think the only thing I don't like about this image is that I don't have a 4foot by 3foot framed version hanging on my wall ;)Outstanding work! Link to comment
edith_frederick 0 Posted August 16, 2007 Your superb image takes photography and the community on Photo.net to new heights. I can only marvel at the knowledge of photography and surf revealed in the delighted admiration here. Your generous sharing of your can-do execution of your photographic vision tops it all off! I am reminded of Photo.net founder Philip Greenspun's definition of a professional reputation in software programming: you have practiced at the state-of-the-art, you have improved the state-of-the-art, and you have written or taught to help others achieve state-of-the-art. You've done that, David. Thank you for demonstrating such a magical reality! I agree with Mark Anthony that I would love to have this image on my wall -- here in the mountains. And in my dreams I would pair it with another image from Photo.net. I wanted to surprise you here, but in several attempts I couldn't upload the pairing, which I captioned Hydrosphere. I positioned your image, passing by! contiguous above an image titled Planet Sunset, by Alexander Senokosov, who also shows us a curve of luminous ocean. Color as-is. Here is the link: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2221600 I hope you enjoy at least the thought, David and Alexander. Link to comment
