bacsa 0 Posted May 20, 2004 great idea, how to make a boring statue shot interesting:) and well made too. Link to comment
camerartus 0 Posted May 21, 2004 Knowing the story behind the actual statue, 'help' is quite appropriate in your treatment, since it's rumored to represent the church looking away at a horror (though it was really a competitors work). So, with that in mind, you can see why I like what you did. Link to comment
andreasalini 0 Posted May 22, 2004 csab', Lou Ann, Guillermo, Michele, Francesco, Mario, Don thank you very much for your comment. Don: You know the story! This is a particular about the "Quattro Fiumi" (4 river) fountain made by Gianlorenzo Bernini, this is the detail about the "Riodella Plata" river, in the official version he is scared from a snake, but the most popular story is that the Bernini after to have seen the church of Santa Agnese made by Rainaldi and Borromini (in front of this fountain), he has intentional to emphasize with this statue the perspective of the church that seems to fall in ahead..... a very beautiful story in my opinion. steve_bingham 0 Posted June 13, 2004 Very creative idea. And it works! I would love to do some nudes with this technique, maybe use frosted cellophane with strong back lighting. Thanks for the inspiration. Link to comment
asimh 0 Posted June 19, 2004 andrea - so did you use cellophane wrap here to get this or is it all in photoshop? i think this is a very creative idea. my only points would be to include a bit more area in the shot, thus the hand is at a rule of thirds intersection, instead of quite close to the corner. also, i think a nicely toned B&W here would work quite well. nonetheless, the effect and overall portrayal work quite well!
