Mt. St. Helens - The crater and surrounding terrain.

I took this in the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument area.

It was more than seven years after the eruption, and yet the

hillsides where still a wasteland, with fallen trees scattered like

matchsticks.

The mountains have a nice line to them from right to left, created by the near hill.

A little more detail in the foreground in photoshop would boost it up.
