What I DO NOT know is why this would be considered fine art?

 

This picture has this nice calm feeling in it. Could look good in some house's wall.

Dear Alexis... do you know italian artist named Lucio Fontana?

I like the minimalist approach, the intensity of the blue sky, and the play between the an organic cloud and a geometric line of jet exhaust. However, but the framing of the jet trail looks random. Consider editing out the flare (?) that arcs across the upper left and rotating the image to put the clouds either at the top or bottom.
