DuncanBowers 0 Posted May 17, 2004 The only shot i managed to get of the actual firing of rubber bullets, despite the many hundreds (thousands?) that were used that day. It was a difficult day balancing safety, lighting, positioning, camera shake, film run out etc etc... A real Experience. Let me know what you think of the results. Link to comment
paul_scott1 0 Posted May 17, 2004 Dramatic and compelling image. It might work better in black and white. You were fortunate from the point of view of the composition that the two figures on the right are having some sort of exchange. It helps to balance things out. I guess the thing to do on such occasions is to shoot a lot of film and hope that some come out. Link to comment
DuncanBowers 0 Posted May 17, 2004 Hi Paul, thanks for the comments. btw - i shot 100+ frames and didn't really get 1 quality shot... but you are right, its a situation where you just have to shoot away and analyse back at home - and learn for next time.. I have changed it to b&w; i need to think about which i prefer though...but i can see your point; i think that the colour in the original doesn't add to the pic.. Cheers. Link to comment
saucerman 0 Posted May 17, 2004 Those state-of-siege shots can be so hard to get... while it's a bit fuzzy, I commend you for getting the shot at all - without getting shot! Link to comment
donsorsa 4 Posted May 23, 2004 Good job getting this shot. When the content is powerful, technical faults can be overlooked, IMO. This is indeed a sign of the times. Link to comment
journeytoserenity 0 Posted March 25, 2009 I think I like the B & W better as well...excellent shot! Link to comment
