I've yet to see anything of yours that isn't perfection personified....or close

enough to it :-)

Kevin, i like the composition of the image and the colors but i find them slight unrealistic..also colors seem too saturated in my opinion, however i say that you are a great master in photography and also the abitly to use photoshop is wonderful.

I will be honered to be rated by you and i appreciate suggestion from you!.

All the elements of a great composition: Simplicity, leading lines, high contrasting colors - Works for me!

Kevin, I find this photo truly outstanding. How can it be improved? I would be elated if I found such a scene and could produce something even close to what you have captured here! Beautiful.

"with a different sky, different field, and i have added a tree"

So is this a composite, a photo illustration? Or a real photograph just tweaked a bit for saturation?

Looks like a nice canola field to work with.

How about cropping just past the tire tracks to the right of the tree? This might strengthen it in addition to croping up to the field undulation below the tree. Take the white clouds and lighten a bit as well to give a bit more feel to the high clouds. As it is you have a pretty picture, not a really strong photograph. It leaves me wondering what the actual subject of the photograph is. It is an exercise in composition rather than a fine print. Even more so with teh dust spots showing in many sky locations, what appers to be major sharpness falloff on the right edge and a line appearing below the black border on the top left.

For now it is a nice effort but unfinished.

If you show it closer to a standard museum mount framing instead of the black/white/black matting it would strengthen the presentation. As it is the white line competes and makes the clouds look compressed.

I think I agree with Mahonri (aka "the Brother of Jared") on this one. The photo looks a bit too manufactured for me. The colors could also be toned down a bit. I am somewhat of a puritan with photography. I see so many photos that are highly manipulated, and it is refreshing to view the ones that are not. If I can't trust that what I see is real, then the work is less impressive. Plus, that house looks like hell in the springtime for me; I have horrible seasonal allergies. :D

Well I agree with some aspects of what was being said but overall I like it. Even the over saturated field, in context, works! A well done from me!

Hi Kevin

THis is wonderful! Great colors and saturation. The composition is excellent.

My eyes are drawn to the horizon by the diagonal lines.

Well Done!
