david_rice 0 Posted July 24, 2001 Reletively new to B&W and I am interested in comments about this photograph. I would like to get comments on the overall asthetics and composition. This is the first roll of Ilford XP2 I have tried and I am quite pleased with the grain/detail, have others had good luck with it? What changes could I have made to improve this shot? Link to comment
tom_mccoy 0 Posted July 24, 2001 Interesting night photo, I like the exposure and film, some might consider the wires in the foreground to be distracting however, I feel it adds to the powerful image. I am used to the common yellow and blue versions of color pix of power plants at night, the B&W is a plesent change, lets see more. Link to comment
dennis_keizer 0 Posted July 25, 2001 Nice shot Dave. This scene might be a little contrasty for B&W. Maybe faster film? Humm, this scene looks familar though........ Link to comment
acer iddibhai on aim 0 Posted July 25, 2001 nice, how about you try it again, this time around twilight, when there is still some glow in the sky, just after or around sunset. that you'll get foreground details, and some more detail in the complex, without the lights washing it all out; like the plume above the smokestack.
