paul_scott1 0 Posted May 17, 2004 It's a nice idea (white space v human profile), but I always find it difficult to handle a subject which is darker than the background. The light background is always pulling the eye away from the subject, and the lighting on the face in this photo is fairly flat, which doesn't help. The area of most interest should be pulling the eye towards it: the eye is always attracted to the area of highest contrast. This way, the physics of the eye and the psychology of the image can work together. Link to comment
