washington, dc area World War II Memorial 5

No, I know this isn't great photography. Just sharing an experience. My thoughts on this one are that a zoom lens and standing farther away would have given this shot better perspective.

Anyway ... the two ends of the elliptical memorial area symbolize the war as fought in the Pacific and the Atlantic. At the base of this memorial are quotes regarding the two different arenas, as well as the names of the places where key battles took place.

Any comments or ratings are, of course, welcome!! :-)

A bit blue? Some colour correction needed to bring out the natural colour of the stone?

Well you know I'm keen on architecture and all that so I hope you will forgive me playing with this photo. I thought initially it needed a little rotation to the left but I got carried away with the nice colours you have captured in it! I'll remove it if it offends!

Not from any aesthetic reason I assure you! You are, after all, my frame guru:-) I rotated it slightly then cropped it as otherwise your frame would have been skewed. And that would have been such a disrespectful thing to do:-).
