paul_muresan 0 Posted May 14, 2004 For my taste the pic is little too much modified, but still I like the colour composition. Link to comment
maarten_van_hoven 0 Posted May 14, 2004 It's a beautiful image, although I would call it a digital painting rather than a photograph... Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted May 14, 2004 The sun is not even shining from the tree. light streak scatter uneven. And how can there be rays on the grass? Two suns? Sorry, doesn't work for me, I have seen much better manipulations in PN. Link to comment
jerry lee 0 Posted May 14, 2004 Regardless of HOW this image was made, bottom line is, affect on the observer. IF it were hung in a waiting room or living room, people would STILL look at it and say "Cool". If this had a naked girl posing under the tree, maybe no one would rag on it. ha Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 14, 2004 It's bogus PS work, nothing more. Who cares? This is supposed to be a site for photographers, not drones at the local mall. This is neither good photography nor good digital processing of a digital photograph. My apologies to its creator if this sounds harsh, but this has virtually no merit. Link to comment
antonis_anastasiades 0 Posted May 15, 2004 Amazing photo! I like how the sun rays are just poping out of the tree. Good job! Link to comment
Jim_Dockery_Photos 2 Posted February 10, 2007 Fake fer sure, not "perfect" photoshop work to make the light jive etc., but still striking. Works for me on a surreal/dream level. Would like post details. Link to comment
drjoder 0 Posted July 16, 2010 Interesting how this works...A few months ago I would have really, really liked this image and wondered how it was done. Now that I have actually learned (as a relative newbie) how to make that specific effect in PS (the light rays) it holds must less interest for me. You have other work in your portfolio that in my humble opinion is WAY better...like your B&W cityscapes/building images. Link to comment
KristinLauman 0 Posted July 16, 2010 I normally don't chime in, as I'm still very new to fine arts photography, but I am moved by this piece. I like the dreamy quality, the color palette and I especially like the texture and tones of the grassy knoll. I do also agree with some of the comments that the processing is obvious. The direction of the light and the rays of sun and shape of the tree create some confusion. However, IF the choice to have light coming from two directions was meaningful and metaphoric to you then it is perfectly valid. If it was an oversight, then its a fabulous start and something you can strive to improve upon. Best wishes. Link to comment
