glabarca 0 Posted May 10, 2004 Hand held. I am doing a series of photos on the metro (underground train) in Santiago. I avow that it is quite difficult to photograph in dim light. Link to comment
luisarguelles 0 Posted May 10, 2004 Me gusta mucho. Link to comment
rafatorcida 0 Posted May 10, 2004 Genial doble retrato. Mira que son dificiles los retratos con dos sujetos y este está perfectamente balanceado. Tecnicamente perfecta, luz, composición... Muy profesional!. (Me encanta la expresión del hombre en segundo plano...) Link to comment
maria_s. 1 Posted September 8, 2004 you gotta love this one (and what a handsome man you got here). there's something ultimately erotic in the young male workers wearing dirty clothes and helmets with those very photogenic googles/glasses. take it from the lady. tones are perfect, with that very attractive luminosity, some areas (see the very far background!) are almost transluscent -- you should look for the same kind of lighting when you go shoot more there. composition -- the out of focus ladder-like thing couldn't be better positioned -- it is a natural extension of the handsome man's cocky and at the same time cute self-bearing. These oval things on the left are OK although I'm starting to have doubts. They go well with the shapes of their helmets but might be too protruding. The third worker should have taken a walk but I found him only after an extensive looking so it does not really matter. I like that second worker -- his shy smile and averted face make a nice juxta with the cute foreground hero. Now, I am so used to the 35mm format that I just can't get over the fact that I won't see the rest of the foreground man's legs. I think even one boot in a frame would do it -- big dirty boots are very photogenic as well, trust me (it's funny -- most of recent comments on one of my shots spin around cut off foot; but here, i think the boot in would anchor this man, sort of like an exclamation mark statement). Can't decide as yet but I think this one is the best in this very good folder. I really like what you are doing with your underground series. Link to comment
