Tim, I like the image. You might have considered off centering the tree.

Off centering the tree would make it stronger but not at the expense of losing the line created by the large cloud across the center of the frame.

The sky is great - I think it looks stronger in b/w as well

Thanks for you comments guys - i agree i think offcentering the tree would make it better but the shape of the large cloud influenced the composition. It was originaly a color image and you're right it looks far better b/w. I was trying to imitate b/w infrared film in photoshop
