sam_turner1 0 Posted May 9, 2004 scan from 35mm negative - does tone need adjustment? (there's another from same roll in same folder) Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 9, 2004 Try to rotate the horizontal line of land/water juncture to level- this will really make this one easier to look at. Link to comment
rmortenson 0 Posted May 9, 2004 Clean composition but you are right the tone needs adjusting. Link to comment
robert holmes 0 Posted May 9, 2004 I guess you were using ISO 200 or 400, and unfortunately the grain shows through...I have hundreds of otherwise acceptable photos like this...The scene and the composition are excellent...It needs some more work on the computer to adjust the horizon as mentioned above, and there are some odd spots in the sky which need cloning out, then play with tint and contrast and compare results.... sam_turner1 0 Posted May 10, 2004 I've rescanned the negative (removed the smudge and it seems to have marginally corrected the horizon) and used PS to lighten the foreground. The grain was more a result of shrinking the jpeg than the film speed I think. Link to comment
