james_deboer 0 Posted July 23, 2001 A picture of my daughter peeking around a stone pillar. I don't shoot many portraits, mostly of my daughter when she's willing, but would like to get better at it. And her being a rambunctious 3 year old, I pretty much shoot spontaneously, no time to set anything up. Any comments concerns or criticisms would be appreciated. Thank you. Link to comment
nitin_karkhanis 0 Posted July 23, 2001 the light patch to the right.. Picture would have been perfect without it. But I love this picture. Great job! Link to comment
stephen_jantscher 0 Posted July 23, 2001 James, Nitin said exactly what I was going to say as I looked at the photo. Good job for a snap shot. Backlit blonds are always nice looking. The big spot'o light can be made to go away in Photoshop. Especially with snap shots of kids, where studied composition is very difficult if not impossible, programs like PS come into their own as an after the fact "fixer-upper" program. Nice photo otherwise. Link to comment
emre 0 Posted July 23, 2001 I did not really mind the highlight. I am just curious about the lack of an expression; it makes the photo weaker in my eyes. Shy girls, what can you do :) Link to comment
charles_miller 0 Posted July 25, 2001 This photo is an excellent reflection of the emotional life of a child. My technical comments are in agreement with previous posts. Link to comment
jehangir_tankariwala 0 Posted July 26, 2001 Excellent!! I guess this will have additional appeal to parents with little daughters - she makes you want to get inside her head and wonder what she could possibly be thinking. Link to comment
