A picture of my daughter peeking around a stone pillar. I don't shoot

many portraits, mostly of my daughter when she's willing, but would

like to get better at it. And her being a rambunctious 3 year old, I

pretty much shoot spontaneously, no time to set anything up. Any

comments concerns or criticisms would be appreciated. Thank you.

James, Nitin said exactly what I was going to say as I looked at the photo. Good job for a snap shot. Backlit blonds are always nice looking. The big spot'o light can be made to go away in Photoshop. Especially with snap shots of kids, where studied composition is very difficult if not impossible, programs like PS come into their own as an after the fact "fixer-upper" program. Nice photo otherwise.

I did not really mind the highlight. I am just curious about the lack of an expression; it makes the photo weaker in my eyes. Shy girls, what can you do :)

This photo is an excellent reflection of the emotional life of a child. My technical comments are in agreement with previous posts.

Excellent!! I guess this will have additional appeal to parents with little daughters - she makes you want to get inside her head and wonder what she could possibly be thinking.
