bernhard 0 Posted May 7, 2004 How do you get this freakish grain from TCN? Is this added later on purpose? It actually adds to the pic, but my first guess would have been HP5. Overall I like the pic a lot, a whole lot. But I'm sure that TCN recorded much more detail in the surf than you show us and I'd personally would probably increase midtone contrast. But the composition is first rate, clear and simple, dynamic with lots of space for the thrust comong from the fishing rod and the man. It actually reminded me instanly of HCB (even the tonality) and that's as good as it get's in my book. Link to comment
yasumasa_yanagisawa 0 Posted May 8, 2004 Thank you for your comment, Bernhard. About the grain, I didn't do anything. Normal automatic developping machine made by Fuji, 1000 dpi scanning by Kodak. That's all. But I can tell you I have got sometimes this kind of result not always willingly. Your prints are silky. 2000 dpi or more? I understand your question now. Again, thank you for your attention. Link to comment
