Think again; yes, it is real, no tricks. This is the second photo I

publish here of a glass balanced on a coin. Unfortunately I made a

mistake and erased the other photo with all the comments people made,

including my instructions on how to balance a glass on a coin; but

anyways, here you have another one, this time I used wine instead of

water.

Get a glass and fill about a third of it with water (or any other liquid but be ready to spill it). Get a coin and find a steady surface (even the smallest movement will disturb the balance). To make it easier, imagine that you are the size of a tiny bug and that you can walk on the coin; now go and find three 'bumps' in the coin that could be the tips of a triangle; hey, imagine the triangle. The edge of the glass will be resting bewteen these three 'bumps'. Take the glass, tilt it a bit an place it on top of the coin between your three 'bumps'. Now it's just a game of patience and steady hands. The liquid must be with no movement at all to make the glass stand balanced. Don't let the glass go completely every time because you need points of reference (e.g. it was a bit too much to the front). Once you get it balanced remove your hands carefully from the table or whatever surface you selected. Good luck!

Very Cool Photo! I saw the first one you posted. I like this one with the wine better. It's got more punch to it. Try as I might, I can't do the balancing act...

This image is exciting!! You can enjoy looking at it for ages! Fantastic colour, shadows, composition etc, but what really makes it stand out is the moment of the balance. A feast for the eyes!!

Light on the subject is a bit harsh and since the coin may not be as interesting as the tilted glass, it should reside in the shade area. Aside that, this is quite original. Thanks for sharing your work.
