Close Cascade

chad_gard

Closeup of a a cascade while waiting for tim to get out of my frame for another shot. Liked the shape of the rock and pattern of water movement, as well as the little puddle in the foreground, hence the odd portrait orientation.18-55mm at 42mm

Great textures &DoF. What's the silver object on the foregound rock? It's not clear whether it's supposed to be a focal point or incidental feature. If the former, it might be better in a different hue?

To tell you the truth, until you mentioned it I hadn't noticed the shiny silver thing. Now it's really distracting. I believe it is either some ice, or a little water and a coincidental lack of foliage blocking light from that spot.

It is not intended to be a focal point. Perhaps I can go back and burn a little there in photoshop to dial it down a little. However, I generally don't like doing that sort of thing, and am not that good at it...
