Spring Aspens

DB_Gallery

I took this today while scouting out some greener foliage. The Aspen trees had these little fuzzy brown blossoms on it in this wonderful backlit lighting. I had to use my ball cap to extend the lens shade to about a foot long at 200mm.Canon 10D asa 100, 70-200 2.8 IS at 200mm, F 6.3, 1/320 of second, image stabilizer on. File converted to greyscale in Photoshop CS.

Very nice, I like the hazy horizontal lines a lot. I'm a new user on photo.net, and yours is one of the best portfolio i've come across so far.

I keep comming back to this image Daniel.Powerful, dramatic with great tones and superb light. The upper third is somewhat distracting in the sense that your tonal ranges seem to have no definition...muddy like.Have you tried cropping from the top?Otherwise real fine.

So well done. You have an amazing eye! Plus, you've just mastered the camera. Beautiful. Haunting. And beautiful again. The lighting is fantastic, any kind of superlative I can find, your pictures deserve it.
