amrish patel 0 Posted May 14, 2004 I find photographs of homeless people an easy option, however in this instance there is a strong somewhat ironic message. Right place, right time. Look forward to seeing more. Link to comment

jmoody 0 Posted July 10, 2004 Not sure what I think about photo's of the homeless, but this is something that just couldn't have been passed up. Wonderfully gritty, cold and...miserable for a lack of a more appropriate word. Wonderful shot Link to comment
ryanaddis83 0 Posted July 10, 2004 Superb, what brilliant imagery. I love it. Was it a set up or real? Link to comment
frank_theriault 0 Posted July 10, 2004 I'll echo the comments of others: usually, taking photos of "street people" (for lack of a better term) is just too easy, too obvious, and somewhat exploitative. This one however, is just a great photo that couldn't and shouldn't have been passed on. Well executed, strong message; I think it's terrific. Thanks Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 23, 2004 I disagree..first off they always want $ and anyone pointing a $5000 nikon at the poor dude should at least spare him a few bucks. This guy is probably more famous than any of us... Plus the homeless are not easy targets...some are downright dangerous....very good pic. Link to comment
amrish patel 0 Posted December 31, 2004 Paul, Why does everything have to come down to dollars? A couple of bucks for a couple of ratings. Dangerous - Hasn't society made it difficult for him - no fixed address - no chance of a job, no job - no money, no money - no home....Go ahead slip him a couple of bucks to ease your conscience. hugh_hill 0 Posted January 7, 2005 Cary what a shot and what a message also, I am a street photographer and I am also an independent social worker - working with the homeless, those with mental/emotional/drink-drug & substance dependencies, I do not get paid for this work and I must say that in sandwiches, teas coffees and meals etc it costs me. I could go back and work in advertising and then I'd have to deal with all the real bums! Those of you who think that "street people" are anything less than equal should be ashamed of themselves. Good call Link to comment
