nikonuserf100 0 Posted May 4, 2004 Sometimes you just have to be at the right place at the right time to get that perfect shot .... you did. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted May 5, 2004 Excellent lighting and composition. A non-negligible detail are the parts of the fence driving the eye into the frame from the bottom. Link to comment
eleanor 1 Posted May 5, 2004 Magical lighting and great composition. I love the way the swirl of the sky is 'anchored' by the geometry of the gate. Link to comment
mike l 0 Posted May 5, 2004 Thanks for all your comments and encouragement. I also had my trusty film camera on its tripod alongside my handheld attempt above with the Canon G3. It will be interesting to see how they compare when I get the film back from the processor. Link to comment
mike l 0 Posted May 6, 2004 Shoes are very important, especially for clambering up the muddy tracks to get here. Link to comment
roberto p 0 Posted May 6, 2004 The composition...the light...the sky...ALL is wonderful here! Congrats! Link to comment
maciej the polak czop 0 Posted May 6, 2004 You took this shot with no tripod and a g3? Is there anything that beautiful camera can't do!?(don't answer that, rhetorical question :)) Link to comment
martin_fahey 0 Posted May 7, 2004 I think what makes this interesting is the repetition of the curves in the line of the clouds and similar curves in the ground - there's a strong curve in the ground continued in the right-hand sloping pole, and another curve in the ground also. I've tried to show this in the attached. Link to comment
allonkira 0 Posted May 7, 2004 Amazing sky, clouds, landscape, comp. exposure...!!! this is beautiful! Link to comment
poutnik 1 Posted May 7, 2004 Everything writen above about this shot is true, so I add only... beautifull... Jiri Link to comment
mark_crampton 0 Posted May 7, 2004 This shot could have been been vastly improved if the photograpgher was wearing size 10 and above shoes. Link to comment
mike l 0 Posted May 7, 2004 I disagree about the shoes as I find that anything above 91/2 doesn't work for me. Link to comment
peter_daalder 0 Posted January 17, 2005 I see... The shoe issue has been discussed... Anyway, now I'm really pleased that I came across your portfolio. This is really great landscaping. Link to comment
