maris_ojasuu 0 Posted May 4, 2004 .. this is very good portrait, nice Sepia tone and good sharpness. Good work! What I miss, is the frame. One side of the photo melt in backround. Link to comment
k2photo 0 Posted May 4, 2004 I don't miss a frame, I think it stands well like it is. However, I think a little more light and focus in the eyes would have turned this from a good portrait to a great portrait. Good expression on the subject. Link to comment
witolda_maruszewska 0 Posted May 4, 2004 I like this a lot. That gentleman has got bags of character and it really comes out in the photo. Well done - a portrait to be proud of. Just a couple of small things; the background is a little confusing IMHO (should have looked for a plain one perhaps?), and I think a little bit of fill flash would have helped lighten the shadows from the hat and bring out the eyes a bit more. Also, a plain background would have allowed you to use a little bit more DoF so that there would be more detail in what is a very expressive face. Link to comment
rpallagi 0 Posted May 4, 2004 it was a snapshot really. He commented, how nice camera I had, and I asked if I can take a picture of him. He started smiling like a little child, and all I could do, to catch that moment, so I tokk 3 fast shot. With flash, it would have destroyed the moment, and it couldnt recycle that fast either. I will try to dodge it a little, or play with levels. I left it like this, because when seen in Large view, the eyes are glowing just right...... Thank you all for your comments Link to comment
