arijit_ghosh2 0 Posted May 4, 2004 I was strolling at Har-ki-pauri, the bathing ghats at the North Indian holy town of Hardwar, when a man was swept off his feet while bathing in the river. The fast current almost swept him away, but he managed to grab a chain at the very last moment. It was almost dusk and the only camera I had was loaded with a 100 film, so most of my shots were wasted. Here are a few that weren't, this is the third of the series. Comments welcome, especially let me know which do you think is the best in the series. Link to comment
alex_sacchetti 0 Posted May 4, 2004 This is a very dramatic photo. I like how you're more devoted to taking pictures than saving him haha. Link to comment
alok_chopra 0 Posted May 4, 2004 This one is the best in the series...captures the fury of the current and the desperation on the face of the man trying to help...well it could very well have been a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth...on second thought I think it brings out the aspect of team effort one man supporting the other who is trying to help the third... erikadams 0 Posted May 5, 2004 I think this is the best of the series, followed by #5. This one has the action directed towards the center. It keeps your eye in the photo. Nice work. Link to comment
daniel hayduk 0 Posted May 5, 2004 ... A little smaller would be nice ;) Also (I know that you were not prepared for this and did not have appropriate film)but a bit sharper would have been nice. I have attached a slightly cropped, sharpened and resized version. /danielhttp://www.geocities.com/haydukphoto/ Link to comment
arijit_ghosh2 0 Posted May 7, 2004 Daniel, I like the crop. Thanks for the suggestion. This was my first upload here and the response overshot my expectations. Must admit I've really not taken many shots that I like myself... this was more of being at the right place at the right time (though I dont mind the high ratings esp on originality :D).
